Today in Davos President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with His Majesty Philippe I, King of the Belgians and Prime Minister of Begium

The sides discussed the priorities of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU in the light of Ukraine’s progress toward the practical start of EU accession talks.
President of Ukraine thanked Belgium for its significant defense assistance, including the decision to provide F-16s and train Ukrainian pilots, as well as the recent approval of the 15th military aid package.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to Belgium for taking the lead in establishing a special €1.7 billion fund to assist Ukraine through taxation on frozen Russian assets. It is important to create an effective confiscation mechanism for the use of aggressor’s frozen assets.
The sides also discussed Belgium’s participation in the Peace Formula.
