In recent years, cooperation in the field of scientific and technical collaboration between Ukraine and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has been deepening. Particularly, in accordance with agreement between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the University of Luxembourg, and in the framework of the European mobility program "Erasmus + KA107", Ukrainian and Luxembourg universities exchange students and teachers. It is planned to continue cooperatio in 2020 between the Ukrainian and Luxembourg universities for another 5 years.

On December 7, 2018, Dr Sandra Camarda from the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (University of Luxembourg) gave an open lecture in Lviv on "Remembering the Great War in Luxembourg: Engaging Multiple Audiences Through Public History Digital Projects". The collaboration with the University of Luxembourg resulted in the project of the digital exhibition "Éischte Weltkrich": the memory of the Great War in Luxembourg".

The State Space Agency of Ukraine and the Luxembourg company “Société Européenne des Satellites” have mututal interests in starting the cooperation in the operation of the national satellite communications system (Lybid) and the construction of spacecrafts.
