Ambassador of Ukraine Yaroslav Melnyk met with H.E. Mr Hubert Roisin, Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium.

During the meeting Ambassador of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Belgian side for its decisive actions in enforcing the EU sanctions regime and countering the shadow fleet of the aggressor state. Special attention was given to the recent detention of the shadow fleet vessel Ethera and the ongoing legal proceedings, demonstrating Belgium’s leadership in strengthening European security.

The parties also discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda and prospects for intensifying contacts between Belgium and Ukraine at high and highest levels.
