Ambassador of Ukraine, Yaroslav Melnyk, held a meeting with Archbishop Franco Coppola, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Apostolic Nuncio to the Kingdom of Belgium.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of diplomatic cooperation and interaction between diplomatic missions accredited in Belgium, as well as current international developments in the context of the full-scale aggression of russia against Ukraine.

Ambassador Yaroslav Melnyk expressed gratitude to Archbishop Franco Coppola for the assistance that the Holy See provides to Ukraine in the humanitarian sphere, as well as for the personal efforts of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
