The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador-designate of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium Yaroslav Melnyk presented copies of his credentials to Pierre Cartuyvels, Head of Protocol of the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium.

During the meeting, the Ambassador Melnyk informed Ambassador Cartuyvels about the current security situation in Ukraine in the context of the ongoing full-scale armed aggression by the russian federation. Particular attention was paid to the Ukraine–Belgium bilateral agenda, as well as to current international developments related to Ukraine.

Ambassador Yaroslav Melnyk expressed his sincere gratitude to Belgium for its steadfast support of Ukraine and for its active contribution to strengthening the defence capabilities and economic resilience of Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of continuing this support in the future.
