The Ambassador-Designate of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium Yaroslav Melnyk held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Flemish Agency for Trade and Investment (Flanders Investment and Trade) Piet Demunter.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of expanding Ukrainian-Flemish cooperation, in particular in the areas of trade, investment, recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the issues of attracting support from Flemish business for the regions most affected by Russian aggression, in particular Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed his interlocutor about the current needs of the energy sector of Ukraine and expressed hope for further support from Flemish partners in the field of restoring Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the participation of representatives of Flemish business in the International Exhibition on the Reconstruction of Ukraine "ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy Exhibition & Conference", which will be held in Warsaw on November 13-14, 2025.
