Today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium Yaroslav Melnyk presented his letters of credence to His Majesty The King Philippe of Belgium. During the ceremony, the Ambassador of Ukraine presented to His Majesty the main priorities of his work in Belgium in all areas, thanked the Royal Family for personally sheltering two Ukrainian families, and Belgium for supporting Ukrainians who have found refuge from the war in Belgium. The Ambassador also expressed his deep gratitude for the assistance provided by Belgium to Ukraine from the first days of Russia's full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The Monarch congratulated the Ambassador of Ukraine and wished him success in his duties, emphasizing Belgium's commitment to further strengthening and developing cooperation with Ukraine in various areas. Ukraine and Belgium confirmed their shared commitment to deepening their bilateral partnership. Both countries will continue to develop friendly relations, guided by common interests and the desire for sustainable development — for the benefit of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
