On 16 August 2010, H.E. Mr. Ihor Dolhov, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Belgium met with Mr. Vincent Housseau, the Diplomatic Advisor of the Belgian Prime-Minister’s office.

During the meeting, the topical issues of bilateral Ukrainian-Belgian cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest were discussed. The Sides also exchanged views on internal situation in Belgium after the elections and preparation to the EU-Ukraine Summit in November during Belgian Presidency in the European Union. Key attention was paid to the preparation of the Prince Philippe’s Economic Mission to Ukraine in the autumn this year, the necessity of the involvement of the top management of leading Belgian enterprises to the Mission was agreed.

The Ukrainian Ambassador and the Diplomatic Advisor of the Belgian Prime-Minister also highlighted the importance of keeping on the dynamic political dialogue between Ukraine and Belgium, in particular in the light of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko to Brussels expected this fall.
