On 12 September 2010, Ukrainians in Belgium, including representatives from the Embassy, Mission of Ukraine to NATO and Mission of Ukraine to EU set out on an annual pilgrimage to Christian shrines of Belgian township Banneux.

The holy liturgy, carried out by Bishop M.Grynchyshyn, was concluded with singing of the spiritual hymn of Ukraine.

Informal communication of Ukrainian diplomats with representatives of Ukrainian organizations in Belgium took place after official events. The participants also visited the memorial to “The millennium of the baptisation of Ukraine 988-1988” and sculptural composition of Ukrainian artist A.Valiyev “The prayer”.

In Brussels Representative of Ukraine to the European Union H.E. Mr.Kostiantyn Yelisieiev presented letters of credence to the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy

That marked the beginning of the school year, rang in the Ukrainian School named after Yaroslav Mudryi (Brussels)
