On September 26, 2010 the “first bell”, that marked the beginning of the school year, rang in the Ukrainian School named after Yaroslav Mudryi (Brussels).

During the opening ceremony the students were greeted by the director of the school Father Oleg Zymak, Honoured Artist of Ukraine S. Malhanov and the Councillor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belgium O. Moroz.

The gala part of the event was attended by the representatives of Belgium public and diplomatic body accredited in Brussels. The ceremony was crowned by the concert and the spiritual anthem of Ukraine.

The studies started with a demo-class during which the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium presented the school with electronic and paperback teaching materials and artistic literature.
