In October 11th, the Ukrainian Center Frankopole (Ardenne) took place a gala evening in honor of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great poet.
Journalist Grigory Panczuk presented to the audience his research on the life and work of Taras Shevchenko.

The guests warmly praised the performance of Ukrainian choir Taras Shevchenko from Namur and the concert of the students of Ukrainian schools in Belgium.

This event has proved once again that each new generation is perceiving Shevchenko in his own way, taking from inexhaustible heritage of the poet the knowledge which is close to todays social and political life.
