On the 17th of February 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine I.Dolhov met with General Director of the Federal Agency of Nuclear Control of Belgium Willy De Roover.

Ambassador of Ukraine I.Dolhov informed Mr. De Roover about the conducting on the 19th of April 2011 the  «Chernobyl pledging conference»  on the assembling the additional funds to the accomplishment of the Chernobyl projects and the  «Kyiv summit on safe and innovative use of nuclear energy». In particular, Ambassador of Ukraine expressed hope regarding the further participation of Belgium in the filling of Chernobyl funds.

Belgian side was also informed about the International conference which will take place in Ukraine (Kyiv) during the 20-22 of April 2011  «25 years of Chernobyl catastrophe». The safety for the future”. Ukrainian side emphasized that the mentioned event is an opportunity for discussing the Chernobyl lessons with a purpose to ensure the safety of the nuclear energy and other potentially hazardous technologies, better protection of population and environment against the consequences of industrial emergencies.
