On 18 February 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine to Belgium I.Dolhov hold a working meeting with Honorary Consuls of Ukraine to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Honorary Consuls of Ukraine in Antwerp Mr. Cr.Stoop, in Mons Mr. V.Kotlyar, in Luxembourg Mr. C.Radou, as well as Honorary Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine to Belgium Mr. J.Krutzen took part at the meeting. The participants discussed the ways of improvement of their functions in the spheres of protection of the interests of Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens, development of trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, scientific cooperation, information and public activities etc.

Main attention during the meeting was paid to the issues of preparation and organization of various events on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. Ambassador appealed to the Honorary Consuls to do their best to use the mentioned occasion for popularization of Ukrainian history, culture and art, as well as to widely involve the Ukrainian Diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg to these activities.
