Today Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin met with Federal Prosecutor of Belgium Frédéric Van Leeuw.

During the dialogue, it was noted that Ukraine highly values Belgium's contribution to the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in particular point 7 "Restoration of justice", as well as Belgium's initiative to launch a national investigation into war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by russia during its aggression against Ukraine.

The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation both in matters of ensuring prosecution for war crimes committed by russia, and in the field of mutual legal assistance in the fight against drug trafficking and other transnational crimes.

During the dialogue, the Prosecutor General also expressed his deep gratitude to Belgium for its steadfast political, military and humanitarian support to Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult times
