A two-day Interparliamentary Conference on Common Foreign Policy, Security Policy, and Common Security and Defense Policy began today in Bruges.
The event is held within the framework of the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Ukrainian parliamentary delegation is represented by the deputies of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Merezhko, Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and Halyna Mykhailiuk.
The first day of the event, in particular, covered the issue of supporting Ukraine in confronting ongoing russian aggression, the security risks that russia poses to European countries, as well as the enlargement of the European Union.
It is important to mention that the absolute majority of European parliamentarians who attended the Conference shared a common approach to the fact that the future of the European security architecture depends on Ukraine's victory over the aggressor. Therefore, the amount of military aid for our country should be increased. In addition, many participants of the event noted their support for Ukraine on its way to the EU.
