Today, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, had a working meeting with the President of the House of Representatives of Belgium, Eliane Tillieux, and the President of the Senate of Belgium Stephanie D'Hose.
During the meeting, Ruslan Stefanchuk first of all thanked Belgium for all the provided military, financial and humanitarian aid, as well as for its powerful political support. Ukraine highly appreciates such solidarity.
In the context of the recent visit of the President of the Senate Stephanie D'Hose to Kyiv and her participation in the commemorative events for the anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed special words of gratitude to Ms. D'Hose.
The key issue of the meeting was the defense support of Ukraine. R.Stefanchuk expressed big gratitude to Belgium for joining the F-16 coalition and emphasized that the speed of providing weapons is extremely important for the advancement of Ukrainian troops.
During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. The issue of strengthening sanctions against russia was also discussed.
A separate topic of the meeting was the problem of deportation of Ukrainian children to russia and the need to join forces for their return to Ukraine.
