The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Korniyenko, together with members of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation, met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium, Ms.Eliane Tillieux. The meeting took place in an extremely warm atmosphere.

O. Korniyenko expressed his gratitude to E.Tillieux for her personal involvement in the parliamentary initiatives of Ukraine on international arena, as well as for the support of our state in the brutal russian war against Ukraine.

The First vice-speaker informed his Belgian colleague about the current situation in Ukraine and noted the key needs of our country. At the meeting, the Ukrainian delegation emphasized on the results of Ukraine's implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission and have requested for Belgium's support of European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine.

Another issue that was mentioned at the meeting were the expectations of support by the Chamber of Representatives of the resolutions dedicated to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Ms.Eliane Tillieux assured further support and continuation of the intensity of the international dialogue.
