Brussels Hosts the “Building Business with Ukraine” Seminar
On 30 June 2026, the "Building Business with Ukraine" seminar took place in Brussels.
The seminar brought together more than 100 representatives of Belgian companies, international financial institutions, Belgian and European public authorities, and Ukrainian institutions to discuss business opportunities arising from Ukraine's recovery and to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
Opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mr Matthias Diependaele, Minister-President of Flanders, Mr. Gert-Jan Koopman, Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST), Mr Piet Demunter, CEO of Flanders Investment & Trade, and a representative of the Embassy of Ukraine.
During the event, experts from the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Belgian public institutions presented financing instruments and support mechanisms available for projects contributing to Ukraine's recovery.
The Ukrainian side presented key national recovery instruments, including the ProZorro public procurement system, the DREAM digital recovery ecosystem, and the activities of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
The seminar provided Belgian companies with practical information on investment opportunities, international financing mechanisms, and avenues for participating in Ukraine's reconstruction while facilitating direct dialogue between public institutions, financial partners, and the private sector.
