12 September 2012, Embassy of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium held a reception on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Independence of Ukraine, attended by representatives of the Ukrainian community in Belgium.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom Belgium Mr. Ihor Dolhov congratulated those present on this occasion in his ceremonial speech, noting major achievements of Ukraine during 21 years of Independence, and thanked organizations and active members of the Ukrainian community for their invaluable contribution to preservation of Ukrainian national identity and promotion of Ukrainian culture abroad.

The guests highly appreciated the exhibition of Ukrainian artist Svetlana Lyaschuk-Lebiha "Ecology of the soul" and the performance of Ukrainian choir "Svitanok" during the event.
