The list of speakers included Oleksii Makeiev, Political Director of the MFA of Ukraine, Mykola Sungurovskyi, Director of the Military Programs of Razumkov Centre in Kyiv, Mark Laity, Chief Strategic Communications at Shape, NATO and Olof Ehrenkrona, a member of the Center for Wilfred Martens.
The discussion, moderated by Roland Freudenstein, Deputy Director and Head of Research of Martens Centre,was focused on the situation in eastern Ukraine, current state of and challenges faced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian defense sector, hybrid warfare being waged by Russia in Ukraine, additional leverage that could stop Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine, impact of the Kremlin’s militarist policies on European and global security.
Conference participants that showed strong turnout condemned aggressive actions by the Russian Federation in Ukraine asa gross violation of the basic principles and rules of international law and a grave damage to trust, peace and stability in Europe and worldwide.
