As part of a bilateral visit to Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba met today with a great friend of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, Alexander De Croo.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the provision of further support to Ukraine, the use of 1.7 billion euros from the established Ukrainian fund, including for the reconstruction of Ukraine, in continuation of the agreements reached during the working meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Prime Minister Alexander De Croo in Brussels on October 11, 2023.

The minister expressed his sincere gratitude to the Kingdom of Belgium and Alexander De Croo personally for the support of our country on the way to the European Union and Belgium's willingness to facilitate the implementation of the necessary steps to advance negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU during Belgium's presidency in the European Council in the first half of 2024.

Minister Kuleba also handed to Prime Minister De Croo a very symbolic gift for his birthday from Ukrainian warriors from the 28th Mechanized Brigade, who are currently defending Ukrainian land from the invaders on the outskirts of Bakhmut. This is the National Flag of Ukraine with best wishes for the Belgian Prime Minister and the signatures of our soldiers, the flag of the 28th Brigade, as well as the sleeve chevrons of our heroes.

We believe that thanks to the titanic struggle of our soldiers, as well as the support of Belgium and all our other friends, the blue and yellow colors will again prevail both in Bakhmut and in every corner of Donetsk region and all of Ukraine!
