Today, the Embassy of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium took part in the inauguration of the European scenes “EU in ME”.
The miniature is dedicated to the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU and the upcoming European elections. The event was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Mrs.
Hadja Lahbib and former President of the European Council Mr. Herman Van Rompuy.
In their speeches, both Belgian leaders once again expressed their admiration for the courage
and bravery of Ukrainians and emphasized that Ukraine can continue to count on unwavering support of Belgium, as a member state of the EU, against the aggressor state russia as long as it takes.
We are sincerely grateful to Mrs. Hadja Lahbib and Mr. Herman Van Rompuy for being with Ukraine in these challenging times.
It is with great pleasure that we would like to remind you that on July 26, 2022, at the initiative and at the initiative and with the active support of the Embassy, the Ukrainian installation, which includes a mini-replica of the Independence Monument of Ukraine located on the Independence Square in Kyiv, was officially opened in the Mini-Europe park in Brussels.
This unprecedented step of placing a Ukrainian miniature was taken by the park Director Mr. Thierry Meeus as a sign of great solidarity with Ukraine and support in the fight against russian aggressor. The uniqueness of this installation is that Ukrainian miniature was presented among the miniatures of the Member States of the EU.
We are very grateful to Mr. Meeus personally and his team from the Mini-Europe park for this symbolic and very important act, which highlights the place of Ukraine in the European Union family.
