The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Embassy, met today with the Vice-Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, the Flemish Minister of Education, Sports, Animal Protection and the Flemish Periphery Mr.
Ben Weyts and specialists of this Ministry.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the current situation with the education system in Ukraine, the education obtained by Ukrainian citizens in Flanders, the needs of Ukrainian pupils for tablets and laptops for studying purposes, as well as the Belgian experience of participating in the EU Erasmus+ Program and related Ukrainian aspirations to join the Program. An important part of the negotiations was also focused on the plans for further cooperation during the Belgian presidency in the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2024.
