Today at the University of Luxembourg, an expert meeting "Decade of occupation of Crimea by russia: the human dimension" was held. The event was jointly organized by the
Expert Network of the Crimea Platform and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The event brought together analysts, experts, diplomats, students, professors and representatives of the Ukrainian community to discuss issues related to russia's temporary occupation of Ukrainian Crimea.
The meeting encompassed the issues of systematic violation of human rights in Crimea by the russian occupants, sanctions policy against the aggressor state, as well as ways of de-occupying the Ukrainian peninsula.
In particular, it was emphasized that the only effective mechanism for the liberation of Crimea is the implementation of the Peace Formula initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The participants also discussed the importance of another international format on this path - the Crimea Platform.
Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine Nataliia Anoshyna in her speech emphasized the numerous violations of the rights of the Crimean Tatars in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the russian occupation authorities and the need to increase the international response to such violations. Nataliia Anoshyna also noted that the international community should not repeat the mistakes of the past and should be more decisive, courageous and united. The territorial integrity of Ukraine must be restored within the internationally recognized borders of our state. Comprehensive support for Ukraine, primarily in the military sphere, is now extremely important.
We express our gratitude to the Ukrainian Prism, the Crimea Platform Export Network and the University of Luxembourg for jointly holding the expert meeting, the University of Luxembourg for the opportunity to hold the event, as well as all the speakers and guests. Special words of gratitude to the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Prism, Mr. Hennadiy Maksak, and the Director of Communications of the Ukrainian Prism, Mrs. Olga Chyzhova.
