Today the Chargée d'Affaires Nataliia Anoshyna attended a conference for diplomatic representatives, which took place with the organizational support of the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) and Wallonie-Bruxelles International Agency (WBI). The event was devoted to green energy. The main milestones of Wallonia in the field of renewable energy were presented, in particular in terms of optimization of energy potential, use of hydraulic energy and hydrogen as promising energy carriers of the future. 

During the event the Director of the AWEX agency Pascale Delcominette held a speech. In the course of the speech, she noted the need for the fastest possible energy transition to clean technologies that reduce the impact of harmful factors on the environment. The director of the Belgian Hydrogen Council, Cédric Brüll, outlined the main trends in the development of hydrogen technologies both in the Walloon region and in Belgium as a whole.

The energy transition is the main way through which countries can exit dependence on such energy carriers as gas, which is used by russia as a means of terror.
