Grimbergen Abbey prepared 3 fully equipped ambulances for shipment to Ukraine.

The Embassy of Ukraine is incredibly grateful to Father Karel, Grimbergen Abbey, the parish of Mertham, and all the volunteers for your vital support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people! 

What you are doing is saving those who are fighting for life and freedom, who wake up every day to the explosions of russian missiles and dream of one thing - peace in their homeland.

We are grateful for your sincere support and assistance to those who really need it in the time of russia's brutal war against the entire Ukrainian people.

To date, Father Karel's action from Grimbergen Abbey has provided Ukraine with almost 10 ambulances, renovated 2 schools, including the construction of a shelter for 300 students in Chernihiv, delivered 5 tonnes of medical equipment, and brought more than 60 refugees from the frontline to Belgium.
