«For a very long time, Ukrainian modernism and Ukrainian art remained hidden and closed to foreign audiences, first by the Soviet and then by the russian authorities. But today, Ukraine finally has the opportunity to demonstrate itself, its cultural achievements and peculiarities. This proves once again that Ukraine is Europe in the geographical, political, and cultural sense», – Nataliia Anoshyna, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Belgium.
The Embassy invites all residents, guests of Brussels and Ukrainians to visit "In the Eye of the Storm. Modernism in Ukraine 1900-1930s" – a polyphony of artistic styles and cultural identities that existed in Ukraine in the early twentieth century.
The exhibition will run until January 28, 2024 and free for all Ukrainians.
