On July 28, 2015 Ukraine is celebrating the Day of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus' – Ukraine and the day of the 1000th anniversary of the repose of Grand Prince of Kyiv Volodymyr the Great – one of the founders and patron saints of our country. This event is a symbol of our statehood, unity of our nation, indivisibility of the Ukrainian nation and integrity of its land.

A wide range of events will be held to mark the anniversary of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus' – Ukraine. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian officials and politicians, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine, members of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches, clergy and laity representatives will take part in these events.

In addition to the solemn liturgy in St. Volodymyr's Cathedral and the meeting of the National Council of Churches attended by the President, the program also includes the performance of Ukrainian choral music from the Middle Ages to the present day on Mykhaylivska Square in Kyiv.
