The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium Mr. Ihor Dolhov took part in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Congress Column in Brussels

In the framework of celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in Europe and the End of World War II (May 9th) as well as the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation (May 8th) the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium Mr. Ihor Dolhov took part in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Congress Column in Brussels.
The ceremony was attended by H.M. King Philippe of Belgium, Belgium Prime minister, Presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Representatives of Belgium, Belgian officials, representatives of diplomatic corps.
In order to pay tribute to all those who fell victims and heroically sacrificed their lives paving the way to the day of Victory the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium organized the commemorative event, which was held on May 9th, 2015 at the Evere Cemetery in Brussels.   
With the aim to celebrate the victory of nations of the anti-Hitles alliance, the joint efforts of European nations put into the joint victory over Nazism, in particular, the contribution of Belgian and Ukrainian nations, the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of Belgian as well as the fallen Soviet soldiers took place on this day.
