The filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, 38, involved in supporting the Euro Maidan protests in Kiev and opposed the annexation of Crimea by Russia, was arrested by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) in his house in Simferopol on 11 May and brought to Moscow where he is still detained and awaiting trial. 
The 2011 film « Gaamer » was met with global recognition for its sensitive depiction of a teenage videogame champion losing touch with real life. 
The demonstration of the movie joins an international protest campaign against the illegal detention of Oleg Sentsov. 
The film, in Russian, is subtitled in English.
