On January 30, the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denys Maliuska and the Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Iryna Mudra had a working visit to Brussels.
As part of the visit, meetings were held with the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Belgium
Paul Van Tigchelt and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, who are responsible for sanctions, legal policy and bilateral cooperation with our country.
The key topic of the meetings was the confiscation of frozen russian assets, as well as the use of profits from these assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine, which has been suffering from a full-scale russian war for almost two years. The participation of the Belgian side here is crucial, since Belgium currently presides in the Council of the EU.
Despite a number of potential legal and economic risks, we have assurances from the Belgian side of Ukraine's further support on this path.
Thank you Belgium for the constant help to our country!
