June 7, 2011 Head of Mission of Ukraine to NATO, Ambassador I.Dolhov met NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) General Manager A.Chatzidakis in Capellen (Luxembourg).
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on improving coordination in cooperation in military-technical sphere.
Special attention was paid to the current state of cooperation between Ukraine and NAMSA, particularly on the implementation of the NATO/PfP Trust Fund’s project on disposal of surplus munitions, small arms and light weapons in Ukraine.
NAMSA General Manager reiterated readiness to launch a project on improvement of management of disused sources of ionizing radiation resulting from the Soviet military programs realization with further transfer into specialized storages for safe disposal in Ukraine. This project will help to bring the territory of Ukraine to environmentally safe conditions.
