According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in 2019, exports of Ukrainian goods to Luxembourg increased by 176% compared to 2018 and amounted to US $ 20.2 million. Imports of goods from Luxembourg decreased by 35% to US $ 53.1 million. The negative balance of bilateral trade in goods in 2019 amounted to US $ 32.9 million.
According to the results of 2019, exports of Ukrainian services to Luxembourg decreased by 4% compared to 2018 and amounted to US $ 11.5 million. Imports of services from Luxembourg decreased by 33% to US $ 96.3 million. The negative balance of bilateral trade in services in 2019 amounted to US $ 84.8 million.
The total volume of bilateral trade between Ukraine and Luxembourg in 2019 amounted to US $ 97, 473 million.
The main export commodities are seeds and fruits of oilseeds; products of inorganic chemistry; tannic extracts; nuclear reactors, boilers, machines; salt; sulfur; earth and stones; wood and articles thereof; plastics, polymeric materials; ferrous metals; cotton; mineral fuels; oil and its distillation products. The main import goods are paper and cardboard; rubber, rubber; ferrous metal products; nuclear reactors, boilers, machines; plastics, polymeric materials; ferrous metals; tools, knives; other articles of base metal; optical instruments and apparatus, photographic; tannic extracts; cotton; essential oils; electric machines.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, as of July 1, 2019, Luxembourg's investments in the Ukrainian economy amounted to $ 469.2 million.
About 100 companies with Luxembourg investments are registered in Ukraine. These investments are involved, in particular, in industry, wholesale and retail trade, construction, transport.
